Overall: A-
Challenging, and not an easy A course but Mike Amezcua brings in readings that really get to the core of the culture wars in the U.S., cares about interacting with the students and brings in expert guest speakers to talk about the different subjects.

Should do to do well...
Do not expect an easy A in the course.  A lot of dense readings.  However you will learn about the roots of America and how it came to be the way it is today.  It is content that you will remember and actually be able to apply to discussions of politics in your life.

Should know...
Master the readings - I would advise against falling behind, as it takes a long time to catch up if you fall behind one... and then two..readings
