I graduated with a Masters Degree in Health Administration and Education and I also received my Bachelor Degree in Health Administration at the UOP. From the first day I received my Bachelors Degree I have continued to climb the ladder of success in my career.
I hire people on a regular basis and let me add that I recruit by reviewing people's resumes and speaking to them on a regular basis. I have hired people to work at numerous government locations and hospitals over the last three years. I now recruit for all health care positions from physicians, nurses, occupational therapist and so on throughout many major hospitals all over the United States and have recruited for 11 countries throughout the WORLD.
I went to a traditional college for my Associate degree and I must say that online college was a lot harder. Also, as for a UOP degree; this degree is respected at any of the locations that I have hired at.
All that I can say is, "thank you to the University of Phoenix". I would say that this school is ok if you dont plan on having your last degree from. so if you plan on getting a BA degree from UOP and a masters from somewhere else that would be the best plan. just understand that and know that you will be feed a line to get signed up for it. I now attend an accredited state college, as they offered my degree program online. I think UOPHX is the perfect university for people who would otherwise never earn a degree - there is a high amount of hand holding and support by staff, and classes are organized into learning teams so that you have continued support by people who are working alongside you. I have seen many people flourish in this environment. The downside is that many of the students need to be carried. Many students come from bad backgrounds and suffer from major ignorance. I also ran into odd problems with other students. One example is a student did not have internet access and transportation issues, yet was attending UOPHX! He'd go to the library once a week to log in - he was never truly able to pull his weight. This is frustrating for other members in a learning team. Another girl got a DUI and could never attend team meetings...nor did she ever try to make up for it via our assignments. I had one student in several of my classes who clearly lacked intelligence and common sense to the point to where I wondered if she should obtain vocational therapy before considering going for a college degree. Again, everyone had to carry her because she could not understand any of the work. Now that I am at a state college, I am not in learning teams and I have to figure everything out for myself. I have to say I am pleasantly HAPPY! I have to say I spend at least 10 hrs less a week on school work because I don't have to collaborate with people who do not know how to work with others and pull their own weight.
