Lots of teachers in the science department are not even teachers but are a bunch of graduate kids just trying to get by.

School safety is fine, and the campus is really pretty. Overall rate the school at a "C". I've been surprised by the quality of the teaching, helpfulness of the teachers, and challenging quality of the coursework. The geography department makes me want to push and challenge myself because the teachers are so passionate about what they're teaching and the success of the students. The other departments I've taken classes from have been much less satisfying, so what I've said about the geography department definitely does not apply to the rest of the school. UNT is good for people not really interested in Greek Life or spending all of their time on campus, but it's a very good fit for me and I like it a lot.
