In fact, they fired the financial aid advisor who worked at the college for 16 years and replaced him with a younger person because of his experience and salary. This school is absolutely terrible, ESPECIALLY in the Digital Media department. There is no activities as they state for incoming freshmen, and the tuition is TOO high for the education you will be receiving. Luckily, I was able to receive a scholarship, but it doesn't cover the whole entire thing.

Now let me tell you, I worked for this school, so I know the faculty VERY closely, but I will not be saying what department, or what time just to keep myself anonymous.

FACULTY:

The faculty is VERY unorganized and they do everything completely last minute. Now don't get me wrong, these people are very nice and ultra ultra friendly, and are great people (none of them have terrible attitudes, in fact some of them are my good friends now despite being way older), but they put the blame on one another when something doesn't get done, and doing everything annoyingly last minute. One doesn't know what the other one is doing, and everything gets out of control (this is about the admissions department).

The admissions consolers do EVERYTHING for you, that's the only good them about them as an incoming freshmen, But that's how they catch you!! They be nice to you and promise all these things and activities, but when you actually get to the classes, they suck!! They act nice towards you and do everything because they know you are worried about college and nervous. They catch you at your vulnerable moment.

PROFESSORS:

Now, when it comes to the PROFESSORS, Holy Mary!!! Now, I'm not trying to come off obnoxious and pretentious, but I can draw better than every single one of those professors. I got accepted into TOP art schools, but I applied so late that there were no more scholarships available to give out to me, but CW was the only school that gave me a HUGE scholarship to attend, so I ran with it. YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO TO AN ART SCHOOL TO DO WELL IN ART, IT'S A MATTER OF PRACTICING YOUR CRAFT FOR THE LATER ON YEARS (SO TAKING TWO YEARS IN THE ARTS ISN'T BAD) I thought to myself, "Maybe this won't be so bad, just do my two years and transfer over to something better."

WOW!! DID I FOOL MYSELF!! Please google the names Michael Grassia, James Lines, and Marc Hess. The only "decent" artist here is Michael Ryan (who is a sweetheart at it's finest, and understanding), but other than that, NOBODY has any form of good background to be a good professor. I'm telling you, this faculty only hires people for the Digital Media department who knows how to pick up a pencil and click a few buttons on the Adobe Suite.

Michael Grassia is one of the worst professors, yet I heard Marc Hess is even worse! I never had Marc Hess because I'm only in a couple semesters, but I'm terrified to have him since because he doesn't do anything at all in class. Michael Grassia on the other hand just gloats about how good he is, how "awesome" he is, and how he's SOOOooo professional. He ain't CRAP. The quality of his work is ATROCIOUS. Now don't get me started about how he complains about "anime". I will get more into that when I talk about the STUDENTS, but jeez!!! We get it! You don't like ANIME. Anything he sees cute, he classifies it as ANIME. Get over yourself!

When it comes to his teaching, he doesn't even teach! He just sits there and clicks a bunch of buttons, and talks about his life! It's annoying! And most of the time he just shows videos on Youtube on how to do things in Adobe, when you should be teaching that information yourself!! What a waste of money and time!

Now don't get me started on James Lines. Deadbeat and a racist. Period. In class he insulted as a girl about the way she looked, I don't even know who she was, but it was a sad case. Whatever!

STUDENTS:

THE OTHER STUDENTS CAN'T EVEN DRAW AT ALL, HAVE TERRIBLE UNREALISTIC AMBITIONS (One kid said he wanted to be a game designer, never drew a day of his life!) AND JUST PLAIN STUPID!!! I got a straight 4.0 GPA for just GIVING work in for class. I SKIPPED CLASS SEVERAL TIMES AND STILL GOT A STRAIGHT A. I WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND OR GRASP THAT CONCEPT. THEY ARE TREATING THE STUDENTS LIKE BABIES!

While I am here with my "4.0" GPA, other students have like 2.0 GPAs when all you have to do is give in the work and show up for half of the class. Is that so hard to do? I can't understand how you could even fail classes here or get any lower than a B in a class. People are so slow here it's astounding. They call me smart, and cherish my "smartness". I'm not even that smart to begin with!! I was a 2.8 GPA student in highschool, COME ON!!

THE MEDICAL AND BUSINESS DEPARTMENT IS FILLED WITH SNOOTY STUDENTS AND RUDE. This school is an EASY IN and an EASY OUT. You're literally just buying your grades. FOR THE SMART PEOPLE HERE, THEY TRANSFER OUT AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE BEFORE WASTING THEIR MONEY.

I AM BUYING GRADES AND TIME TO USE FOR WHEN I TRANSFER OUT TO OBTAIN ANOTHER SCHOLARSHIP FOR ANOTHER COLLEGE. The "Digital Media" title is what I will be using to my advantage for when it comes to the work force. Again, I am only BUYING the name, not even learning anything!!

ACTIVITIES:

THERE IS NONE. IF THERE IS, THEY ARE WHACK AND CORNY. JUST LIKE THE JDC (JUST DANCE CREW), THEY CAN'T DO CRAP, AND THE SHOW FOR THEIR EVENT WAS TERRIBLE AND BARELY ANYONE CAME BESIDES THE FACULTY. Terrible!!

TL;DR
Pros:
Very sweet and personal faculty
Any issues you have, they will ADDRESS IT IMMEDIATELY
VERY FRIENDLY STUDENTS (for Digital Media department)

Cons:
TOO EXPENSIVE FOR A SMALL TERRIBLE COLLEGE; 22K+ A YEAR
Professors DO NOT TEACH, HAVE NO CREDENTIALS (DIGITAL MEDIA IT'S TERRIBLE, NONE OF THEM CAN DRAW)
Students are NOT SMART (For people like me who need to be around smart people to thrive, this is a HUGE issue)
NO ACTIVITIES
YOU ARE JUST BUYING GRADES
TOO SMALL OF A SCHOOL! EVERYONE KNOWS EVERYONE, ALL UP IN YOUR BUSINESS.
DIGITAL MEDIA HAS NO CONNECTIONS WITH TOP COMPANIES. IT'S A JOKE.

Once people go through there second semester, they know this school is not made up for what it's supposed to be. Yes, you graduate with an associate's and bachelor's in 3 years (combined), but it doesn't mean crap if you don't have a good portfolio and you?re not learning anything. Trust me, if you?re coming here for Digital Media for Animation or etc, don?t. If you didn?t get accepted into any art schools, then that just simply means you?re not ready tbh. Practice your craft on your own. The only reason why I am staying is because I?m running on a scholarship, and I would like my associate?s to balance out my next degree incredibly.

The consolers told me, ?This school is a business, just like any other school, it?s a competition to get these people enrolled.? I understand that we live in a capitalistic society, so we are of course trying to tell you this school, but in reality, we need a good education too. None of the consolers took any of the classes, so they just read the name of the classes out to you and expect those classes to be amazing. They don?t even know what goes on in the classes. It?s terrible.

Long story short, just don?t. Save your money and time. Go to another school. It?s a shame of this school for even existing. I?m just here for easy grades basically.
