I'm a student from Chicago that was recruited by President Sorrell himself personally. When Michael first came to my high school, I didn't know why he was there and what he wanted with me. I graduated valedictorian of my high school class, so of course a lot of recruiters was on my bumper. After I sat down and had one conversation with Michael, I discovered that he was highly intelligent. After a few mind games, we talked business. He layed it out on the table that he wanted me to attend his college. I never heard of Paul Quinn College before. Me, being as brilliant as I am, decided to research the school more to learn about it. What really caught my eye about this school was the business dress attire. I always wanted to go to a school where I can dress successful and be successful at the same time. Also, I learned that Paul Quinn College is a private, historically black college located on 144 acres just south of downtown Dallas, Texas. The college is affiliated with the African Methodist Episcopal Church. I love this college now because I have a personal connection with friends, faculty, staff, and the President. I feel like this college will offer me wonderful opportunities. First off the recruitment team are very good liars I will give them that! They lie about EVERYTHING!!!! The classes are a mess! Half of them won't transfer! The dress code is TRASH!!!! It's really only for freshman because the upperclassmen do what they want... wait I take that back. The presidential scholars do what they want! They say that you have to have a laptop so if you dont have one they will charge you for it. 1100.00 for a LENOVO! I never even herd of one of thoes!!!! Then you NEVER GET IT!!! The cafe food is disgusting! They have nats everywhere... the dishes are always dirty and the manager JACKIE is always walking around eating! smh! The dean of students wears dresses shorter than a stripper & you can see her everything! YUCK! & she is apart of SIGMA GAMMA RHO what a horrible representation for that poor little organization! The president is just as fake as the recruitment team! He puts students out for no reason at all & he is all about the money! The dorms... omg! when it rains outside it rains inside!!!!! The lights always go out... Its mold in the building, bugs, ewww. This is not a college for a first time college student. THIS SCHOOL IS NOT THE PROPER SCHOOL FOR A COLLEGE EXPERIENCE! They try to bring their prospective students on the days that the campus is finally doing something... for example, Homecoming week.... and Spring fest! Or on a friday when they are playing music in the cafe! THAT'S IT!!!!!! They stalk your twitter and facebook... its not but 200 students there.. not even 200 maybe 150 or 120 after the president kicks people out. If you've messed up at a school before and just need to get your GPA up to transfer this is the place to go because you dont have to go to class to pass!!! as long as you email your teacher a sad story they will pass you. ALL PAUL QUINN COLLEGE IS ABOUT IS YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They need students to keep their accredidation and try to build their alumni. Speaking of alumni half of them dont even have jobs or know that the school is open! The greek life is the easiest thing to get into even though they PRE PLEDGE YOU when they aren't suppose to. They dont keep up their grades especially the 2 kappas.. well 1 does they other hasn't passed a class in almost 2 years! DUMMY! How can you fail at PAUL QUINN! The school is too small so everyone sleeps with everyone & they know your business! Please I beg of you do not send your child to this school! And are really, not that interested in teaching or helping students reach there goals once they are enrolled.Some of faculty members, also play favorites among the students meaning that there are some students they will help and others they want help. Maybe thats why enrollment is so low and they charge you 350.00 or more for credit a hour. Also there isn't a bookstore on campus to buy supplies and materials needed for your classes.So please choose wise and do your research.
