I completed 74 credit hours for a 60 credit hour degree. Half my classes match up with the old degree plan and half match up with the new degree plan, since they don't match up with one single degree plan I have been scammed out of a degree and now owe over $67,000 in student loans and according to other reviews on this site I am not the only one to experience something like this.

Money making scam aside, I also feel that I learned nearly nothing here. All the instructors do is assign work out of books. Many are not even qualified to be teaching what they're teaching. They had a business teacher teaching a CompTIA Network+ class. I feel that if one does not have the certification themselves they certainly should not be teaching a class on it! If I knew that was all it was going to be I could have just bought the books and learned on my own without wasting money on tuition. The few non-book assignments were done on obsolete hardware 5-7 years old. I never saw a Cisco switch or router once at the school, everything was done "virtually" in Cisco PacketTracer. Again, I could have just learned with PacketTracer on my own! They also have no integration for you to get the Cisco certifications as part of going to the college, you have to go spends hundreds of dollars ON YOUR OWN at a third party testing center to get your Cisco Certifications. Basically most of the classes are certification-prep classes for certifications you have to go get on your own SO YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST BUY THE BOOKS AND LEARN IT ON YOUR OWN THEN GO TAKE THE CERTIFICATION TESTS AND SAVE A TON OF MONEY! Classes covered certification preps of Cisco Certified Network Associate, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, and several Microsoft Certifications and I received NONE of them because you have to get them ON YOUR OWN and the cost for all of these would be well over $1,000!!!

So in summery:
1. Scammed out of a degree due to their deceptive trade practices of constantly changing degree plans and classes offered to keep students longer.
2. Scammed out of getting certifications due to them not integrating them requiring you to have your own CASH to get them on your own. (I've heard there is a system in place where a school can purchase test vouchers and add the costs to your tuition so you can essentially use financial aid to pay for your certifications, TSTC CHOOSES NOT TO DO THIS!) THEY COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR STUDENT'S FUTURES, THEY ARE ONLY OUT TO MAKE MONEY!!!

The program was advertised as state of the art in the technology field. All computers that we use are at least 6 years old and have been taken apart/put back together by many classes. The PC maintenance portion, which is the easiest part of the program, was covered to my satisfaction but the program goes downhill from there. When learning servers we loaded windows server onto a desktop pc to learn it, which is ok, but doesn't provide the real world setting of remoting into a rack mounted server and operating it the correct way. Starting the second semester with the routers our teacher started either not showing up, even though he's on campus, or he will sit in front of the class watching youtube videos for the entire 3 hour class period. We are given assignments and expected to know how to do them by following the book. There is no teaching or discussion provided by the instructor. Assignments are piled on us so it looks to the school that our teacher is doing something. Many, if not all, in my class feel as though we're not learning the material. This experience continued as we learned routers which, in my opinion, is the most difficult and important aspect of the entire course. Most of us have been behind on our work due to a lack of understanding. We have spoken to our instructor about his method of "teaching" with no response other than him getting frustrated and attempting to justify his actions. A letter had also been sent to the school about this which also had no effect. Please do not go to TSTC Sweetwater as, if it is anything like my experience, it will be a complete and total disappointment. I plan on going to a larger school to take a course on routers after I get my degree because I need to know them to do the job... It's sad I have to go to another school and take the same class again.
