At Cornell I have discovered so much about myself and renewed my faith in humanity. Our classes are difficult and we explore our subjects in depth. Most of our professors are friends and colleagues rather than big brother figures. This place is a happy one where if actually learning is your goal, you will enjoy it. I was getting a better education at the CCs. The reason I left was because of the sheer stupidity of the students attending CC, in general, and I had hoped Cornell would have a more academic environment. I cried when I got here, after meeting some of the stupidest people I've met in a while.

The dorms suck: When I arrived, the windows were broken and there were no screens. The paint is peeling off the walls, and everyone says it feels like a prison. The food is terrible and has made me physically ill/throw up multiple times, and I am not alone. Cornell also tries to sell themselves as having a faculty that gets involved with the students, but it often feels that we are all alone here: It's literally like kindergarten without the adults. We go to class a few hours a day, and then are all alone again.

The only reason I haven't left this nauseating place is because I've made a few really good friends here. It's not a "degree-mill" or for people are just interested in getting and education "because they have to." If you come to Cornell, come here with an goal in mind. Cornell's OCAAT system is great training for law school, or other challenging pursuits. You'll learn how to work hard here, if that's not your cup of tea and want an easier life in college, go somewhere else.

This is a college for people who have a special commitment to learning and challenging themselves. I'm not saying it's bad if you don't have those qualities, I'm just saying, if you don't, this is not the college for you.
