It's also building a four-year college north on Hwy 75 in McKinney..don't know the majors they'll offer. overall, enjoyable...I'm going on the a four year school next year, but CC has been a good start. Lots of them have limited English ability, so they dominate the free tutors. Also, the college gives them most of the oncampus part time jobs, which is unfair. This college is like a mini version of UTD, its 4 year transfer partner. The faculty is good overall, except for some duds in the science and math depts--be careful who you choose.
It's one of the best community colleges in Texas overall, very respected by 4 year schools. Almost everyone is friendly, students and staff. Some of the courses are not difficult enough to prepare you for what lies ahead at 4-year colleges/universities, so choose professors who do not give away grades just because you came and turned in all work. That is not the way universities work.
Also, the number of foreign students continues to increase, so be prepared to hear lots of languages besides English and Spanish. They seem to take up more and more class space and many seem to need lots of the free tutoring help.
