I am in Army ROTC there and so I have gotten to see other schools in the area, see their administrations, and they are 10 times better then SLU.

The problems start off right away. To get me to come to SLU my recruiter lied to me about my chosen major telling me that I would be able to certify for a teaching licence in my home of Illinois. Come Junior year when I ask if there is anything else I needed to take to get that cert (since I had taken all the same classes as my MO counterparts) they told me that I would only get certified in MO, and would have to go elsewhere to receive training for IL.

The next big problem is the administration. Father Biondi is the largest money grabber in the world... and for a Priest who made a vow of poverty, his 2 tanning beds and multiple cars show how much he cares about that and how much he loves students money. In my time here he made it mandatory that all students live on Campus for their first two years. I rather enjoyed this concept until I realized the reasons behind it, the new freshmen were not awarded Housing Scholarships, meaning that he would be getting their money straight from them (about $10,000 worth). The better part of this for him was that those with housing scholarships, who used to have preference of dorm locations now didn't, and were forced off campus. Other schools who have done this pay for the students to live off campus (See WASH-U)but not father Biondi.

Another money scheme that he runs is that he will not refund you. The school owes me over 6K from these past two semesters in loans I took out to cover the cost of school I do have a full ride scholarship to the school through the ARMY, but since signing up, the colleges cost has gone up, and I needed to cover the difference as well as the housing, whos scholarship I lost in the housing crisis.

Don't go to this school unless you like having your money bleed from your pocket. It was ranked as one of the top ten overpriced schools, and it totally is.
