Resources include a very big and well stocked library, online library, medical school library and inter-library loan should they not have what you need or want. I can tell you that IUPUI is more for students who are serious about their education and less about social engagements. Its a professional/career oriented school that prepares you for graduate and professional careers. I think its a good school if you can get past the overcrowded student population. The student population isnt too friendly and most students have a life outside of class. They pretty much just come to take notes and leave. Its hard to make friends here and you really have to try. If you like feeling valued in a class room this school is not for you.
If you like to understand what your teachers are saying and are going into a science/engineering/tech/med field this is not for you because 99% of the staff are foreign the higher up you go in education.
If you value a decent social life this school isn't for you.
If you value good retention of material learned this is definitely not a good school for that. I recently talked to my teacher about my retention and he seemed to not care...what the hell? He just told me to finish the class and be happy I was doing well...OK????! That would be great if I didn't actually need the information from his class...
If you want an adviser who will point you in the right direction this isn't the school for that.
If you don't want to be forced to pay high prices for decent parking, this isn't good for you.

I'm the first in my generation to go to college and this school was horrible for me. I had to learn everything the hard way and on my own, if I wasn't already a self starter that wouldn't have even happened. The only reason I went to this school was because I got scholarships and I really wish I had just went to community college instead, until I found out what school would be best for my career path. My counselor refused to listen to me to the point where I just ended up making my own schedule of sorts, MY FIRST YEAR, which is a big RED FLAG! It took a while for me to find out this school is not for me, don't let the same happen to you. The good thing about them is they do have a lot of tutoring. It's not always good because it's just students who happened to do well in class, but it's 'free' aka you pay for it in your tuition, so might as well use it. Good luck. I really dislike this college campus because it's mainly a commuter campus where students come to clas, and dash out of the class to head to work. The dorms here are a joke, and there is not greek life or heck, any social life on this campus. The majority of the students are also ignorant and tend to be racist to a certain extent. But oh well, what do you expect from a bunch of hoosiers who think that they're getting by in life?! Indianapolis is also a very boring city. Whenever I want to have "fun" during the weekends, I always have to dash out to Chicago or even venture to St. Louis for some good fun. Lastly, the instructors here at IUPUI tend to be aloof from the students they teach. Us students are basically cash cows and a source of revenue for IUPUI to build new campus center and other buildings that they have in mind. what a joke!
