To give you an idea of the difficulty of the classes in general, the material of 2nd-semester sophomore year has had me questioning whether or not I made the right decision of majors. However, while the work is certainly difficult, it's never impossible, and I've found that most of the professors that I've had are very willing to answer questions, or at least are very helpful in pointing you in the right direction so that you can answer your own questions on your own with their guidance. To date, I haven't had a professor that I've truly regretted taking, and even my least favorite teachers were only my least favorite because I didn't enjoy the material they were teaching, rather than for any individual characteristic of their own.
- Besides the classes, I actually really like Dartmouth's campus as well. The buildings themselves are pretty damn ugly to be honest, but then again, if you make your choice of any college based on what it looks like alone, you probably have your priorities in the wrong place anyways. The sports facilities, fields, and gyms are pretty nice, although the work-out room is always overcrowded. I understand the discontent with the food services that have been made known in some of the other comments on this website, since the food isn't amazing and the operating times are just as impressive, but the food provider company is extremely receptive to criticisms and suggestions, so there's no complaint there either.
- All of that being said, I would happily recommend UMass Dartmouth to another (or at least to those wanting to attend the school for Electrical Engineering).

Resources are not always available. If you are book smart and very willing to learn the information than I recommend this school as you will succeed. If you are not willing to dedicate almost everything to engineering classes then do not become an engineering major at this school. You will feel very overwhelmed and may become slightly depressed. It would be either a hold or automatic drop from a class one month after signing up, etc. Every semester I have to visit the advising office at least 3 times to set up classes. Yet, the classes themselves are very helpful in the field you're getting your degree in. I didn't know it was possible to waste thousands of dollars on an education, but you can here at umass. Thank goodness for the friends you make here because the school in general sucks. I am a crime and justice studies major, so i can't speak much for other departments. But if you plan on being a criminal justice major go somewhere else. I should have just gone to Bridgewater State University but the reason I didn't is because I didn't feel like driving the 45 min commute (Umass is 15 mins away from me). Looking back at it now I wouldnl't have even applied to umass if i could do it all over again. Words can't express how frustrated I am with this institution. They care more about the money than the student, don't be surprised to figure that out real quick if you come here. Campus life is actually not that bad though. If you like to party and have a good time, meet new people, then you'll have fun and be fine. Beware of campus police though, they can be a pain! lol Sun, 10 Jun 2012 01:41:30 GMT http://www.studentsreview.com/MA/UMND_comments.html
