Most of the professors perpetuate their Baptist views; it oozes out of them in lecture. In your Bible classes, you will most likely endure the preaching of conservative fundamentals. Do not expect extreme academic rigor if you are not a Biblical Studies major. Expect to find the student body likeminded and hostile to any opinion that conflicts with their conservative view of Christianity and politics. As a student who believes in speaking in tongues and miracles I felt very stifled by the stoic Baptist perspective taken by the university itself. I understand the standings of the college and don't disregard them but feel if they are purely a Baptist institution they should not openly seek students of all different classifications within Christianity.
