The
Junior Scholars Program is a modestly priced six-week college credit
summer program for academically talented rising seniors who want to
learn about university life and earn college credit early. It
is also a chance to explore an area of academic
or career interest. Scholars chosen for the program attend summer
classes along with regular Miami undergraduates, earning six to eight
semester hours of college credit. They live in an
air-conditioned Miami residence hall and, in addition to a rigorous
schedule of classes, take part in a special program of
recreation, seminars, and social events. Junior Scholars may choose courses
from a list of over 40 offerings in the areas
of fine arts, languages, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, mathematics,
