Meet college freshman and sophomores from schools across the country

Participants must be Shelby or Fayette County Residents

Hello and thanks for your interest in the HCOP Summer Science College.  If you decide to join us you will work with different departments in an internship capacity while shadowing in different hospitals, etc.  We also require a half and half schedule where you will be working with professors, graduate and doctorial candidates in their respective fields including epidemiology, pharmacy, neurosciences, gross anatomy, learning skills training for the various disciplines, etc.  The stipend is $1600.00 dollars for the 8 weeks.  This is an 8 week, M-F, 8-5 exposure program to different fields in health science.  If you are even slightly considering a career in this area, this is definitely the place you want to be, let us show you how easy it is to reach your goal.  All you need is determination.  We'll provide you with the tools needed for the rest.

We require and provide scrubs, the lab jacket and any other needed supplies-you bring nothing, but you leave with plenty!  We are planning academic courses for 4 hours daily and 4 hours of combination activities such as lab, and or seminar, developmental workshops, mentoring, field trips, on site visits, tutoring, shadowing, etc.  We are recruiting the best professors in the city and they are willing to provide you with some hands on experiences in the classroom and laboratory that will expose you to the different depths of the new fields in health professional careers.

Join us for a innovative summer in math and science development, remember, it is a brand new day here at Health Careers Opportunity Program.  Please contact us through email and or written letter to the addresses below.  We are waiting to hear from you.
