Upward Bound
Upward Bound is a federal Department of Education TRIO program providing academic and motivational support for eligible high school students planning to succeed in college.

Upward Bound at UW-La Crosse serves students from Jackson, Monroe and La Crosse counties in Wisconsin.  Eligibility is determined by federal guidelines for parent education levels and family income.  Students entering ninth grade but not yet in twelfth grade are eligible to apply.

Upward Bound is a full year program offering tutoring, college visits and personal and academic growth programming during the academic year and a six-week “practice college” during the summer.

Archaeology Field School
Participate in an archaeological dig in the La Crosse, WI area.  Explore what it is like to work on small-scale excavations or survey, alongside professional archaeologists for 3 or 5 days, to see if archaeology is for you.  Lab work may be included.  Supervised dorm facilities are available for high school students under 18 years of age.  Dates are July 26 - 28 or July 26 - 30.

A summer college prep program for eligible high school students.  Eligibility determined by family education status and family income.  Part of a four-year, year-round program of college prep services offered free through this U.S. Department of Education program at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
