National University Virtual High School (NUVHS), the newest affiliate of the National University System, will enroll its first students in summer school courses in June 2004.  A full range of course offerings will be available in September.

Developed to meet and exceed the needs of high school students who choose to learn online, NUVHS offers a variety of courses in math, English, fine arts, practical arts, science, social science and technology in an engaging, interactive learning environment. 

Student-Centered Features

- 24/7 access to courses

- eight-week format with curricula tailored to different learning styles

- teachers who are skilled in providing high quality online instruction

- frequent communication with instructors and classmates

- Project-Based Learning that encourages participation

- access to over 60,000 e-books in one of the nation’s largest e-libraries

NUVHS can be the perfect choice for students who:

- require courses unavailable in their traditional school. 

- have parents whose careers make it difficult to stay in one place for long. 

- are homeschooled. 

- need Advanced Placement (AP) courses. 

- are physically unable to attend classes. 

- need extra personalized instruction and a consistent and effective learning environment.
