Venture Engineering and Science, Computer and Technology Camps

venture.mcmaster.ca
Venture Science and Engineering camp is exploding into another sizzling summer, and only projects this cool could shade you from the heat wave.

Venture Juniors (students entering into grades 4 or 5) will be receiving their invitations to Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this fall, after special training at Venture’s school for young Scientists, Engineers and Magicians!  After only a week, campers, skilled in the art of levitation, will be so awesomely powerful that not even trains can stay on the ground.  In addition to developing awe-inspiring magical strengths, campers will be privy to the secrets of optical illusions so outstanding you will not believe your eyes and new forms of plant growth so amazing even Mother Nature will be green with jealousy.

Venture Intermediates (students entering into grade 6) will be introduced to some serious special effects designed to outwit and outsmart even your most clever competitor, skills that would have left even the bravest Greek Gods thunder-struck.  Campers will engineer the ultimate Puppet of Pain that will compete head-to-head in a battle for the crown of the Most Powerful Puppet this world has ever seen.  After the victory, students will march straight up Mount Olympus where they will create their own streaks of lightning brighter than the great Zeus ever dreamed!

Venture Seniors (students entering grades 7 and 8) will enter the next millennia as they begin to transform their human bodies with robotic, hydraulic extensions.  Whether employed as a precise alternative to traditional surgical procedures, or to avoid having to get up off the couch to reach the chip bowl, campers will learn the mechanics behind the robots of the future!  After a ride into the future campers will explore into the past, creating prehistoric remains and simulating some of Newton’s greatest physical laws.

Don’t let the heat keep you inside this summer… Enter the virtual reality of Venture Computer and Technology camp where even the elements are under your control!

Venture Juniors (students entering grades 4 through 6) will be the force of the future as they ride through thin air on a Hovercraft exploration.  Campers will be battling more than just gravity this summer as they search for The Truth with the help of their Lie Detecting devices.  Never again fall victim to the tall-tales invented to make you eat your broccoli!  As these truth-seeking campers float into the future they won’t be seen wearing your usual blue jeans.  Campers will join the force wearing their own brand of tattoo transferred straight from their imaginations to their skin.  These fully apparelled Venture Juniors have never been so ready to zoom into the future!

Venture Seniors (students entering grades 7 through 10) can throw away their expensive and outdated X-Box’s, as they design and master games straight from their own Brilliant Minds!  Game Making has never been so easy, with just a few clicks of their mouse campers will be on their way to creating computer games where every secret warp zone is encoded directly into their brains.  Computer games not enough?  Venture Seniors will be creating their very own gaming system, designing everything from the hardware to the controllers they will use to show their friends a thing or two about how Ventendo really works.  Gaming has never been more in their control as they take the reigns and lead the way into this summer’s video reality!  Let’s not forget about the one of a kind Laser Tag simulation hardware experience.  The ideas are endless with this two piece replica of your favourite stealth adventure.  Do you have eyes on the back of your head?

Venture Computers and Technology camp will be engaging in the ultimate website experience.  Create websites similar to the most skilled web designer by using state-of-the-art software.  Also, turn boring images and video into a 3D extravaganza and let your eyes expand your imagination.
