| A
week of creative fun, teamwork, and recreation sponsored by the
College of Engineering and featuring the MaineBound Adventure Center.
July 10-15, 2005, resident or commuter campers grades 9-12.
Learn about computer-aided design (CAD) by designing something uniquely “you." "CAD
camp was a great place to meet people and learn.
When I first came to camp, I wasn't very good
with computers, but there was always someone in the computer
room who could help me figure out the program. The
staff was very knowledgeable and available for help. Each afternoon,
we had a fun activity. We used the ropes course,
rock wall, kayaks, and canoes. Also, we got to go
swimming and use the low ropes course for team building
activities. Everything we did presented a new challenge and provided
a safe environment to overcome it. I'm thinking about the
University of Maine as well as a few other colleges.
I'm interested in architectural engineering, psychology, and elementary education. CAD
camp was a lot of fun and well worth the
money. The dorm environment was a great place to stay
and it was nice to know that if I come
to UMaine, I will know my way around and that
the food will be great and recreation easy to find.
I would recommend this camp to anyone who wants to
have a great time and maybe learn a little about
design while you're waking up in the morning!” ~Allie, CAD camp 2003-2004 Program Cost: $700
