Get
an early taste of college life this summer. Washington
University’s High School Summer Scholars Program provides academically-talented rising seniors
with a rare and special experience—five weeks of serious fun,
a rewarding academic challenge, and the excitement of living and
bonding with fellow students from around the country and the
world. Participants get a head start on college courses (and
learn the study skills required to do well), garner helpful
hints on admissions and financial aid, and experience the independence
of college life.
In this small selective program, participants
can earn up to seven units of college credit, choosing
from stimulating introductory college courses ranging from the arts and
humanities to science and social science. Scholars live in
a residence hall on campus, enjoy a variety of social
and cultural opportunities, and make lasting friendships.
