Overall my experience at UGA was very positive. I first attended the University of Florida for a year and was very disappointed by both the social life and the academic quality (that I was led to believe was superior.)

I am very happy with the fact that I transferred. The campus is not only very beautiful in every season, but the city of Athens is extremely cultural and vibrant with a small-town feel. Also, if you like music, the scene there is unrivaled…and Atlanta is only an hour away.

If you like sports, this is the place to be. Most label it a football school…(and it is, very rabidly…) but the other sports do very well and have great attendance. Gymnastics, Swimming and Tennis are all top-notch and win national championships regularly.

UGA's academic quality is very challenging but the faculty seems very anxious to become very involved. And they got me very excited about the material. I felt like I was a part of something very special.

There's no reason why UGA shouldn't be at the top of your list.
