Major: Physics (This Major's Salary over time)
GCC is a very traditional school, and very old-fashioned. To me and many others, this is great, but you should be aware of that fact. Most professors really care about whether you succeed, the more so since professors are encouraged to teach, not do research. The best departments are engineering, political science, and economics. The math, physics (this department now has 5 faculty members, enough to offer a complete physics major such as one might find at a major university), chemistry, biology and English departments are very respectable. The computer science department (which is actually merged with the math department) is only so-so; they lack many major courses a real CSci program would have. The worst departments are music and education.
