Major: Geography and Geosciences (This Major's Salary over time)
In terms of academics, Wilkes has one of the best programs in the country for nursing and also has good engineering and pharmacy programs. From what I've seen and experienced, most of the other major programs are haphazardly thrown together and are not very successful. For example, instead of learning things you would use later in life, you are overwhelmed with pointless and nontopical busywork that in many cases has nothing to do with what you should be learning in that particular class. Of course, there are exceptions, some of the teachers are great and their classes are informative and useful. College life (for me at least) almost makes up for the poor educational quality but I am very concerned about my career choices as I am not learning what I need to learn. For the price of tuition, the college could do a MUCH better job.
