The faculty are very inaccessible. The social atmosphere is dominated by fraternities and sororities. The community is filled to the brim with old money, which leads to arrogance and ignorance. The student body isn't that bright, which makes for little peer evaluation. Lexington is a very small community and thinks that it is the center of the world. The school overcompensates for minorities by providing unearned scholarships to encourage them to attend and to boost statistics. Traffic evolves around basketball games. However, there are some very positive aspects of the university. The community is safe for families and the campus is actually quite nice to look at. The air is fresh because the city is small. The president of the school is brilliant and knows what he is doing, but there is only so much that one man can do. The president is making every attempt to improve the academic standing of the school and shed the image of only being recognized for basketball successes.
