Date: Dec 31 1969 Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time) I LOVE WHITTIER. That tiny bias aside, I do have to say that Whittier, although a fantastic place, is for a very particular type of person. The Whittier Scholars Program (of which I am a member), for instance, is a unique and excellent program that lets students design their own education with the guidance of faculty and advisors—but it's not for everybody. Visit, talk to faculty and students, hang out on campus…you'll know if it's for you or not.The biggest plus at Whittier is the accessibility of faculty…they're simply always around and almost always friendly, helpful, encouraging and challenging.Like any college, Whittier also has it's downpoints…mainly, on-campus housing and facilities. A lot of the school's buildings are older and sort of falling apart. The administration seems intent on making improvments, but they're slow in coming. However, the sheer quirkiness and charm of Whittier outweigh the facility concerns after your first semester or two.
