This really is a party school. Students are boring, self-absorbed, and politically indifferent. Both campus and surrounding community are decidedly conservative. The classes are neither outstanding nor completely terrible, but the required courses such as Gen Ed and English 101 are an absolute waste of time and money for all involved. Students are not encouraged to think for themselves, or rather, not to think for themselves if they're going to be thinking about something other than the status quo. Attitudes expressed in the school newspaper are decidedly one-sided and rarely challenged by students at all. The school itself primarily spends money on sports, and will raise your tuition once a year in order to pay for its brand new "world class gym" and fully pressurized indoor football practice area, while complaining that it does not have enough money to support the public transportation system that helps students get to and from class. All of this, combined with the fact that the town of Pullman has not much to offer in the way of entertainment or shopping, leads me to encourage you to go elsewhere.
