This school was a waste of my time and money. I worked very hard, and was quite successful, but I found my whole experience at Pitt to be disheartening. They spend oodles of money in pro-Pitt propaganda, to attract students, and forget about the ones that they already have. There are virtually NO merit-based scholarships for students who succeed academically. This year they are running a $1 Billion campaign to raise funds for the university, but as a student, I have NO idea where that money will go. I can guess though—maybe 50% to recruit new students, another 30% to fix up the buildings that students will see on their campus tours, 10% to the Chancellor's salary, and another 10% fighting lawsuits from their underpaid cafeteria staff. I had a miserable time here. The students keep pretty much to their own little cliques. It's the only time that I honestly wish that some parent would have asked me what I thought of Pitt while they were taking the tour of the school. DON'T DO IT!!!
