Major: Music Education (This Major's Salary over time)
I have really enjoyed my experience at Fredonia thus far. I am from the Western NY area, so I have know of Fredonia for my whole life. I finished in the top 1% of my HS class and was told that I would be far more advanced than my other classmates. I have found this to be true, but only in my general classes. I am a Music major so the level of the music school is much above the rest of the college.

In general, the campus is well kept. All of the college staff, custodians, food service people, and employees are all very friendly and greet students with smiles and hellos. Professors encourage students to come by office hours or make appointments. So far, all of mine have seemed very approachable.

There are many clubs and activities that are very open to new members. If you can't find anything you like, it is very easy to start your own club. Sports teams are decent, but there is also a huge intramural league of different sports ranging from lacrosse, broomball, flag football, hockey, and more.

The nightlife all depends on what kind of person you are. There is one over/under club that most people go to, or go to once and never go to again. House parties are the main form of entertainment. Any Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night, there are numerous parties. Some often broken up by village Police. Buffalo is only a 40 min drive up the thruway, so many people go to other colleges or to clubs up there. Other than partying, there isn't much to do in Fredonia. There are shops in the main part of town, as well as a commercial area with Wal-Mart and other stores and supermarkets. Fredonia runs a bus service that goes overnight on weekends so you can get around town.

Fredonia is a safe campus, with friendly faculty, staff, and students and will be a good value for any instate student
