Major: Music - Performance (This Major's Salary over time)
If you’re interested in Education or Music, Fredonia is the place for you. All of the other programs seem half-assed, and only exist to make Fredonia appear more appealing.

Pros:

1. There are some nice, tolerant, accepting and mature people at Fredonia. Although they’re hard to find, they’re definitely there. And they make the whole campus seem warmer and more open and friendly.

2. The professors are great. They’re very friendly and make themselves available. For the most part, they go out of their way to help you. Even the college president is friendly toward the students”he frequently goes to the dining halls for dinner to talk with students.

3. There are little perks here and there, like the free shuttle service that takes students around town, that really give you the impression that they care about you.

Cons:

1. Think high school. There are the same extremely exclusive cliques and parties, and a pitifully high amount of people are just as immature and close-minded as in high school.

2. If you aren’t there for music or education, you’re wasting your time. All of Fredonia’s other academic departments seem really half-assed, as stated above.

3. The level of intelligence at Fredonia is lacking. There are very few people there who you can have an intellectual conversation with or who know anything at all about current events or politics.

4. The maturity level is severely lacking among a lot of people there. Fredonia is essentially for people who are in the high school mindset and don’t want to leave. They don’t know how to maturely handle their freedom. Imagine living in a residence hall where it’s so noisy that you can’t study in your room and can’t get to sleep before 3am.

5. The surrounding area has very little to offer. Downtown Fredonia sports a few shops and restaurants. There is also a modest area with a Walmart and a few restaurants, although it isn’t in walking distance.

6. The nightlife is lacking as well. There are a few parties to go to, but after a while it gets old. Other than crappy parties with flat beer and overpriced jello shots, there isn’t much to do on weekends.

In the end, Fredonia is a really good place if you really don’t want to leave the high school mentality, and are interested in going into Education or Music. The faculty is great, but too many of the students are ass holes.
