I turned down Ann Arbor to stay at Dearborn. Most students at UMD commute, so there isn't much social life. The academic life isn't so hard, but lately, they have begun to beef up their undergrad. Also, for work prospect, expect not much help from the career service department. I don't even know how they were hired. Its better to search on your own. Try begin interning early on (freshmen year), even if the school says its not a good idea. Dearborn students usually need to work harder to prove their potential. I'm a third year full time business student making $50,000 at a part-time position. Employers are more impress with students that are able to handle fairly challenging school work with intense career training Another example would be Kettering University that uses the same school/co-op concept. But if you're looking for a "home town" school, this is not the school. Ann Arbor is a better option.
