Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
Having recently graduated I can look back now and see it as a more positive experience. Even though most people commute here I was still able to make a lot of friends, a decent number of people attend events, and it even managed to squeek out the occasional protest. This campus isn't quite what I would call full of activity, but it is improving. A new gym and student center has just been finished(just as I leave) and more on-campus housing is being built. This is good because the surrounding city is pretty poor as far as activity is concerned. The one highlight if you like music is The Glasshouse in Pomona which is a great venue for many bands to get noticed and poor students to see them cheap. Educationally speaking, I feel I got a decent education. I met some really brilliant teachers and endured some extremely asinine ones. Some of the students here are really ambitious while others… will be here for a while. This school pushes itself as a 'hands on' school, and for the most part it succeeds. If you are interested in getting into engineering of computer science, you will meet a ton of students just like yourself. And if you drop out of the program and become a business/english major because of the tough curriculum, again you will meet tons of students like yourself. One other important note, don't go here if you like girls. I believe the national average shows that more women then men attend college. This school is the exception. The majority is largely male and in the engineering/science classes it's about 8-1 guys to girls.
