Moody is a great school for people serious about serving God in life-long ministry. The institute does not exist to function as a social club or a typical college. It is an institute—institutes create like-minded people. The school teaches what it believes to be true and does so very well. Many people are turned off by the closed-mindedness of the school, and understandably so. But the school is more like a military academy than a modern university. It does not exist to train up intellectuals or to hand out easy degrees rather to train its students to fight on the front lines of the spiritual battle that has been waging since Adam took that first bite.

Of course, like any school there are many bad things to be said about the school, but in my opinion, the good far outweighs the bad, and therefore the bad is hardly worth mentioning.

If you have problems with authority (as I did when I began) or you like to party (as I did when I began), Moody might not be the best place for you. Seek the Lord's guidance. Then again, Moody may be the place for you after all because He may want to change you (as He did me) and He may want to do it at Moody.
