Luther is a very sheltered environment. It is not surprising that the student body is 60% female since the campus is safe, isolated and protectively dull. It seems that campus diversity has faded from the '80s as well—very white. Classes are challenging and can be good preparation for the sciences, music, and education. More general majors (English, History, Management, etc.) seem to lead to nowhere. Campus life is enjoyable for a year or two, then repeat. If you need stability and crave protection, go to Luther.
