Saint Xavier University is a school that most people have either never even heard of, or get confused with the one in Ohio.

I spent four years attending this highly racist and segregated school. People are divided into south-side Irish hillbilly and non south-side irish hillbilly groups. Because of the intense segregation, no none co-mingled in the dorms or outside of their respective groups. There is nothing to do besides get drunk in the bars and spread malicious gossip, since everyone there is related to someone else you have screwed. I would not recommend this school to anyone in their right mind.

I should have listened when other people told me to go to a community college/state school, because the tuition is outrageous! It is insulting to tell people where you went to college, and they have a blank stare on their face. Esp. when you have paid $500.00 per credit hour.

When you choose to attend SXU, you lose the following:

Dating

Learning about different cultures (Yes.. professors made racist generalizations, such as: Baseball coach Dooley: "well Michelle and Tony… you know why we have blacks in runningback positions in football. Because I cannot see a white man running like that with a football. Quarterback positions are for white men because they can think, not run." Now the Biology professors comments: "Michelle… It's a biological fact… blacks are better runners than whites, and white are just better swimmers." Unsafe Neighborhood for those who are non-white. A car loaded with three white men drive in front of a friend and I, and shouted: Fuc

* you Ni**ers!

Stingy financial Aid, even when you contest it. The only people who get a full ride or even half a ride are the athletes. Everyone else has to work two jobs, or end up with up to $40,000 in student loans.

Cleaniness in the dorms. The women are the worst, esp. when it comes to blood stained mattresses when you move in, and on the toilet/floors, when it their time of the month.

Social Life. There is nothing outside of talking to someone in the lunchroom/classroom.

The only nice things about SXU is that it is small enough for one on one help with a professor.

Again… I would caution you to look elsewhere, when choosing to spend four years in college.
