Wittenberg is a great place to meet new people and learn from the many outstanding professors. Both new and old faculty members work hard to push academics to higher levels of excellence each year. State of the art facilities are booming across campus, including a new $23 million science center and Hollenbeck Hall. The campus is set within woody hills and gorgeous hollows perfect for outside activities. Wittenberg students do tend to stay within their social bubble, but more often than not make the easy stroll to local bars just a few blocks away. Wittenberg University also prides itself on tradition, which can make meeting people a unique experience. The school maintains a small campus atmosphere with a big vision for the future. The construction of two new apartment buildings has been the subject of controversy among students who have raised the fear of losing some of the school's more homey qualities. Overall Wittenberg maintains a seamless balance between social and academic activties. Some of the most memorable nights are with Jim Beam and a socially conscience mind; it's a wonderful mix.
