I loved it at Hartwick. Stimulating learning environment, wonderful professors and students, and gorgeous surroundings. The winters are long, cold, snowy, and can be depressing, but thankfully, Hartwick offers a January term, during which students take only one class for the month. Some choose to remain on campus, but many take advantage of the diverse off-campus trips Hartwick offers to places around the globe (including some sunny, warm areas for people like me who need an escape from the snow). The town of Oneonta leaves a little to be desired and the downtown scene grows a little more boring each night, but you'll discover some great places if you know where to look. (Go to Pine Lake for the most fun, mellow and laid back parties.)
