Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
Coming from out-of-state to USC was a great experience… Although the extreme change was a culture shock at first, I soon became quickly adjusted and had the time of my life during my first year. True, Columbia is not the most mind blowing place you've ever been…but if you're a social person, 5 points and parties will keep you busy any night of the week. The campus is definitley safe during the day but I wouldn't recommend walking alone late at night…but that goes for anywhere right? Football games are amazing, and despite the large size of the school, i gaurentee you'll see someone you know whenever you're walking to class. All the students are friendly… the faculty isn't too bad, i think it really depends which major you're in. I am a Hotel, Restaurant Tourism major and didn't mind any of my classes… Some core classes do blow but everyone has to take them. If you are out of state and not a very outgoing person and aren't willing to adjust and except a different way of living, i suggest you go somewhere else. but if you love to party, go out, and be surrounded by extremely friendly people then you have found the right place!!! GO COCKS!!
