Unfortunately I believe that Notre Dame has changed and not in a positive way. At the time I attended the university, football was important but other sports were more like club sports. The school's goals were more academic. Professors were selected for quality not for how their reputation might improve the university's image. Selection of students also seemed to be based more on the overall combination of talents. Now selection is a mystery although it seems that the priorities are 1. athlete 2. donations and 3. academics.
