I had read the comments on this site b4 coming to IIT so I thought I should contribute as well.First of all, this is a technical school. Most of the students are here to study and not to while away their time. Coursework is not that difficult if you keep yourself organized. The professors are all helpful and open to any problems. The people in general are friendly. Being an international student I did not have any problems settling down as there are a lot of international students and we are welcome in this college. The college is quite small and sometimes there's nothing much to do on campus buy hey, the whole of Chicago is there to explore, especially if the train station is bang in the middle of the campus. The food is ok. Nothing great, not too bad. The only problem is that there are very few girls in this college. Around 30% I think. But then again, that's the same with all other technical schools. Thats the main reason why people here tend to crib so much. But bottom line is that this college gives a lot of money to good students and is well worth it. The EE department is cool and we get straight into practical work in the freshman year.To sum it all up, come here if you want good education in Architecture, science and engineering. Come here if you want to live in Chicago. Don't come here if you wanna party and have an easy way through college. Hope this helped you all!
