Major: Accounting (This Major's Salary over time)
I went to GCC for my first two years before transfering out because I hated the place. Like someone wrote before me, the course work is hard, not challenging, meaning they make it hard and difficult, but you are really not learning anything. For example, in accounting, we would have to do trial balances by hand in a work book which just took forever to do where the same work could have been done in a tenth of the time in excel. Furthermore, the test are hard, not challenaging. One can know the information inside out, but still get a C on a test because the instructor's questions are there to trick a student, not test them on the material. After attending two other univeristies since (one to finish my undergrad, the second for my masters) I have to say that GCC does not provide higher education in the way that it is meant to be, and that anyone looking to go to this school should reconcider. Not to mention, the social life is just horrible.
