I loved YHC. It was the most important two years of my life. My only regret is that I didn't leave Young Harris with a 4.0 average. When you consider that you have loads of free time, teachers that are always available, and no real responsiblities at 18~ there is no reason not to leave with an excellent GPA. Of course, like everyone else I had a lot of fun. Too much fun! But I was young and that is part of life.

The school once had a great Greek system, but in the early 1990s Dr. Thomas Yow was brought in to destroy hazing. In the process he destroyed the "heart and soul" of the school. He was removed this year for messing around with a student (not sure of the facts), and I believe the institution now has a chance to return to its former self.
YHC is a place that you will either hate or love. You will know by the first semester. Getting involved and making friends is the way to be happy at YHC. Ten years later all of my best friends are from Young Harris. Most of my friends met their spouses at the school also. It is the perfect place to transition from your teenage years to your adult life.
