This school is excellent. Some major problems are as follows:

1. Shasta County stinks as far as activities are concerned!

I come from the San Francisco Bay Area, where there was plenty to do, but around this area there is hardly anything to do. Simpson is just a quiet college, located in a county mostly composed of retired people, and families wishing to settle down. This is not a activity based area like the Bay Area.

2. The social life around here is poor. The people are friendly and all, but there is a dead club life. One major disadvantage is the lack of a sufficient softball/baseball interest. I've tried a number of times to spice up the community interest and tolerance towards softball, but have failed in every way.

I also used to cover sports in the campus Newspaper, and saw the intolerance the school has towards baseball.
