Towson University

I personally have grown to hate Towson. The campus is so ugly and the buildings are even uglier and soooo dirty on the inside. Campus is extremely un-safe at night, especially if your a girl, i hear about girls getting raped on campus probaley atleast once or twice a month. I would like to get involved in activiities on campus, but i am honesntly too scared to walk through campus at night or in the parking garage, i wont even go to the library after dark. You feel like you can't go anywhere after dark including in the city of Towson itself. The city of Towson is completely full of sketchballs,especially at night. There are a few really fun bars to go to, just don't ever go to Casa Mia's unless you wanna be surrounded by drunken freshman sluts. Towson Mall is pretty good, they have a lot of nice stores, as long as you go during the daylight hours, because the parking lot is extremly unsafe. As for the people, lets just say that the word snooty doens't even fully describe how bad they are. Towson is a Maryland state school, and yet all you hear on campus is NY and NJ accents. The people are so stuck up and unfriendly, its very hard to find friends that are down to earth and are friends with u beyond a superficial level. The guys are absoltely horrid. All they care about is sluts and who shows the most cleavage at the bars. I am a very good looking girl and i have just as much T and A as the next girl, but just because I don't show it off everytime I go out, I have actually gotten comments from guys at the bars about how I should show more skin (i'm not even kidding thats the truth). Also a lot of people commute and go home on the weekends, who are in-state, and they usually chose to hang out with their highschool friends, so they aren't really all that exciting. People think that Towson is a good school to go to just based on the fact that you can go out and get wasted every night. I like getting drunk as much as the next person, but don't pick a school based on that because the rest of it really sucks. The academics are pretty standard, some teachers you get are cool some really suck and dont care about you. It is fun to go down to Baltimore, there are defintely a lot of really fun clubs and bars, but that gets old after a while and not to mention expensive, and you also spend more time trying not to get mugged or someone putting something put in your drink. The on campus parties are usually not fun at all they are usually a car ride away, which always leads to drunken driving and getting lost in the ghettos of Baltimore, its defintely all about who you know, you could never walk into a random party because kids are so unfriendly. Towson is an unfriendly, cold, impersonal, ugly environment. Basically Towson is a complete shit hole, do not go here trust me you will be a very un-happy camper.
