After transfering to Ramapo after attending communtiy college, I have decided to transfer out of this hell hole.  Come with me on this magical journey of why not to attend Ramapo College of New Jersy.

If you loved High School, this is the school for you, but if you hated High School, do not, i repeat do not come here.  This school is one big clique.  If you do not fit in, forget it.  You are a social outcast.

There is no social life here.  On tour, they say that Ramapo is not a suit case college, what a load of crap.  No one stays here on weekends.  It looks like a demilitrized zone here.  Most students go home because there are no people here.  Ramapo also says that is a wet campus, but if you are caught with an alcohol on campus, you will be charged by the Mahwah police.  Nice.  Since there are no one here on the weekends, that means no parties.  Welcome to the no fun college.  As they say here, “What are you doing, this is a college, your not allowed to have fun"

If your television or radio is a little too loud in your dorm, you will have to go to judicial affairs to settle a claim for a noise violation.

Since this is a libral arts college, Ramapo decides to spend all there money on resident halls and not on educational buildings or upgrading old equipment.  Once again the tour is full of lies.  The school consists of one large building and you have all your classes in the one building.  If you are a communications major, and you want to get involved with the radio station, you are dealing with equipment that was new back in the 80's.  Along with the equipment in the theater.  Just because the theater is in a new building does not mean it is good.  The theater still uses lights that have asbestos.  Nice.

Since the college is expanding so much Ramapo has been know to screw students out of class that are manditory to take especially communication courses.  Too many students and not enough classes to take.

The work load here is outragious.  Talking to friends from big universitys have no where the amount of work that you get here.  It is a huge work school.  All work, no play.  It stinks.

The only thing that sucks everyone in into this school is the dorms.  They are huge.  If you are stuck with a stinky roomate, you are screwed since there is no where to go.

If you do not have a car, don't come here.  The nearist town is a 5 minute drive, so good luck with that.

My advice to anyone looking at Ramapo College of New Jersey, look elsewhere.  Take it from me.  I am here a semester, and i am already leaving.  Thanks Ramapo
