Parking sucks the first few weeks of every semester, but it gets much better after the dumb ones drop some classes.

The guys who work for parkings services deserve (and recieve) the scorn of all students. They will give you tickets for having an expired registration when even most cops will just give you a warning. The campus is spread out but quite pleasing to look at. The arboretum is huge and there are plenty of trees surrounding the main body of the campus as well as a research park which is about the the size of the campus. I don't know about other majors but in my majors (chemistry and physics) upper-level classes never get full and are always small (less than 15 in my p.chem). The cognitively challenged often forget to register on time and then complain about the general ed. classes being full. The administration spends money like water; plasma TV's were installed in the business building and flat screens in all the computer labs yet we're in a budget crisis. Many of my friends tell me horror stories about dealing with the bureaucracy but every time i've had to deal with them they've been quite speedy and efficient. The polaris system does take a while to update but they've never screwed up my info. I once spoke with a financial aid counselor and she was not helpful at all; she was incompetent and obviously had her position because of AA. All the instructors I've had in the chem. department have been at least good and many were great. My instructors in physics have ranged from horrible to good. The gym is huge and state of the art. Avoid Ms. Pamela Thomas in the biology department. She lacks the ability to write unambiguous test questions and refuses to admit her faults when you explain your equally correct answer.
