Academically, Trinity is very good. They have some of the top programs, especially in engineering and life sciences. The problem lies in the student body, and by that, the blame should lie in the admissions committee. Trinity's student body consists mostly of close minded immature aryan new englander's who wear a&f and drive around in their suv's and bmw's that daddy bought them. They have absolutely no idea or concern for what goes out in the rest of the world. theyre in their own little bubble where drinking and screaming at night is considered a great way to party. what admissions has to do is rather than having some shitty thing like 'diversity day', they should actually diversify the student body by accepting a broader range (ie smart minorities , or even whites from other parts of the country/ different economic backgrounds) of students. Its sickening to see how everyone is segregated according to race and social status. every time i walk into mather, its like the jim crow laws had come back. i almost expected to see a sign that reads

whites only/ colored only

Come to think of it, the campus is like that too. inside, its all beautiful grass and trees, but its all superficial. step outside the closed gates and its a hell hole ghetto. the school has done nothing to improve interactions between the community. there are no stores or shops outside the campus, cause these fucks dont want to mix with the 'dirty people' and drive off to boston or wherever every weekend. The locals hate us, and mug us constantly (understandable). You cant do anything in hartford cause there's nothing to do. no little shops, no cultural centers, no decent clubs or bars, nothing. the city is dead. Its horrible. if you go a little west, near uconn's med school and law school, there's a great college town. i dont know why trinity isnt like that at all. im glad i've graduated. fuck this schoool.
