I think I got a REALLY GOOD education at Towson! When I was studying Philosophy there, there were only 7 majors so I knew everyone in my discipline and we all knew the professors as well. The professors there were TOP NOTCH, and in the end that is the reason you are attending college after all. Studying Philosophy truly DID serve as the foundation for everything else I've done in the past twenty years.

Here's the thing about Towson: You can either get a very poor or a very good education there—it's up to you. Everyone knows, after a semester or two, who the really easy professors are. AVOID THEM. Challenge yourself and take the really difficult courses and the really hard, strict professors. This time in your life is your chance to study difficult subjects—don't let it pass you by.

Towson is pretty well known for it's applied and professional programs. But I would say I received and EXCELLENT liberal arts education due to the very high quality—and genuine concern—of its faculty. I've since attended several graduate schools, but the education I received at Towson remains near and dear to my heart.
