University of Saint Francis is good school that is taught mainly through adjunct instructors. They have the ability to teach you the latest teaching strategies and help you assimilate into the surrounding school districts. The instructors are very helpful and knowledgeable. I recommend enrolling in classes that are taught by adjunct instructors rather than full-time faculty. The full-time faculty concentrate on "intellectual reflection" rather than teaching you the tools necessary to succeed in the classroom. The administration is very streamlined and focuses on the undergraduate students. There is no thesis required for a M.Ed. The research focus is "action research" rather than formal research.

My advice for succeeding in the program is to make friends with your instructors and network while in school. You may be interviewing for employment with your instructors in the future. The direction you will receive from the Education Department is fragmented and often irrelevant. They make an effort but the majority of the Education Department Administration are former principals and treat you like you are grade level students. Do not let this stop you from attending a "great" program but be prepared to direct your on success! Good Luck!
