This is a community college. No bones about it. 90% of students live within 10-15 miles and almost as many go home on the weekends. Most students know each other from high school and, subsequently, have already formed their friendships and make no effort to find more.

Classes here are a joke. Non-traditional students are the only ones here worth their weight in concrete. The (vast) majority of students retake (and many fail) remedial math which consists of fractions, percentages, and pre-algebra (remember 8th grade?).

If you're interested in the easy way out, Parkside is for you. If you're interested in learning something, run.
