I am amazed by the polarity of opinions on StudentsReview—people seem to either love or despise OWU. I would say that I fall somewhere in the middle. I attended OWU briefly, but I found the courswork to be too easy and so I transferred to another, more rigorous school which I liked much more. So OWU isn't as bad as some here have made it out to be—it depends on what you're looking for in a school. I do agree with the person who said serious students should not go here—they will just be bored. But those who had good things to say about OWU had some valid points too.

Im no expert on the matter, but from what i have read: the main thing grad schools look at are your grades. So, i guess its better to have gone to a crappy school and have a 4.0 GPA than a prestigious school with super tough classes and have a 3.0 GPA. Not getting good instruction could hurt you in grad school though…hmm..i guess i'd try to make up for that by reading material on my own a lot, getting a tutor if needed, and being glad about the great GPA. I've heard people brag that in h.s. they slept in class, never doing homework, yet getting an A. Either its a lie, or they had very lenient teachers (I've experienced only about one professor of that type). Most of my teachers were what i guess is average, or strict…you'd Never pass if youre doing nothing. Yet, people who had easy classes/teachers can have a better GPA than me/get into a better college..kinda sucks. But then again, I guess they wouldnt survive in college or even want to attend one if they're that lazy.
