I believe my experience as a Visual Arts Studio major was different from most others, who had a boring time at UCSD. I really enjoyed my time at UCSD. Every art class was a fashion show, and never boring. My last year, one professor took us on a tour of the infamous underground tunnels of UCSD. I met great people, partied with friends, TA's and even professors. I admit, there aren't many clubs or places to go in SD, but there were always parties and the beach.

My only regret is that I didn't focus enough on honing my skills to suit the real world. My advice to undergrads is to network your connections as much as possible, and intern as much as possible during the summer or spare time. I regret not using my resources as much as I should have. I believe that a problem with the UC system is that they focus too much on theory, and not enough on technicality, so it doesn't prepare you for the real world. WHICH is why I advocate taking it upon yourself and getting a part-time job/internship in the field related to your major, while you are still in school.
